Our first product, Selling Later, was created from Wendy's frustrating experience of trying to time buying and selling a home.   It was a simple platform to freely connect everyone, without paywalls, selling your information, or telling you how to sell (like a Zillow, but with the privacy values of Craigslist).


Because we were just frustrated consumers, we had no idea what really goes on behind the scenes in the real estate industry.   But one day, Wendy presented at a real estate agent conference.  That conference opened all of our eyes to the many ways buyers and sellers are taken advantage of by this industry.  


How your data is sold for thousands of dollars at every step of the buying and selling process, the lack of accountability, the massive amount of poor service providers who don't get fired, the bad advice given by said providers, the "partnerships" pushed on us solely because of money being exchanged behind the scenes, etc.  We could go on forever about the many ways the real estate industry has removed the consumer's voice and power.  


We got so disgusted with the industry, that we decided to pivot and become an advocate for consumers.   Since that pivot, we've created new products to help educate and empower sellers and buyers to learn and save money.  


Our small team of advocates is supported by ex and current agents, lawyers, lenders, home inspectors, and more providers that demand change and want to see a better real estate industry.    


 

 What We've Made (so far)... 


Selling Later was created to dismantle the companies that make thousands simply by selling your information to real estate agents and other providers.   By removing fees, and requiring providers to share their rates and fees upfront, it gives consumers the best chance to price compare, find savings, and avoid junk fees.


Selling Later Library offers free and accessible resources for all seller and buyer members.   Pick and choose what you want to learn about, and save it in your library so you can come back to it at any time.  


Rate My Mortgage Rate is our newest program that helps you discover high mortgage rates and excessive fees on your loan estimate.   Post anonymously to ask questions and receive feedback from our loan advisory committee.  


The Real Estate REplay Podcast was created to give consumers a voice by sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly of what they experienced when buying or selling.    By sharing what went wrong, and how to avoid it, we are able to better protect consumers and demand better service.  





What We Do With Your Data


We do not sell or share your information with third parties.  The only service providers that will have access to your information, are the ones that you specifically choose to contact.   


The majority of the companies in real estate (especially the big corporations) profit immensely from selling you as a lead to "partner" agents, the "best agents," and other companies.  We believe protecting your information, and not sharing or selling it, gives you the best chance to negotiate your commission or find additional savings throughout the buying/selling process. 



How We Make Money


Most companies in real estate, especially those backed by investors, are pressured to always make more money, which typically ends up coming out of the consumer's pocket. 


At Selling Later, we believe in the Craig Newmark philosophy of pricing, which is to price it fair to allow consumers a chance to save money and allow for service providers to still put food on their tables.   


We package our research into courses to better educate consumers about the real estate industry.  These courses will always be priced below market value to keep costs low for homebuyers and sellers.


Service providers pay a small monthly fee (ranging from $5 to $10 a month) to participate in our directory.    We do not charge a success fee, or any additional fees, when you work with a provider.



What We Do With Our Profits


Profits from Selling Later Search will be used to add additional programs to the platform that will continue our mission of creating a more fair, transparent, and affordable industry.   These profits will also be used to expand our remote team which will support flexible work hours, especially for those employees with children at home.
